With more and more info coming out I spose it's time to make an actual thread separate from the manga one about the two Gantz live action films set to come out in 2011 and 2012.

An American/English/whatever-else Gantz could work, since it could potentially fit into the storyline of the manga quite well. However if they tried to remake the original Japanese storyline and localise that... nah, I'm not for it. Leave Kei Kurono and his whole story to Ninomiya (although I'm sure he'd be called Tommy Tyler or some bullshit as opposed to Kurono haha).

As long as the ideas of what makes Gantz what it is (which I've talked about in the Gantz manga thread) remain intact, and they leave the Japanese storyline alone and maybe work on a spin off, I'd actually be curious as to what overseas countries can come up with. It could be that we'd get a lot more boobs, blood and guts than we could ever hope for from these two up and coming films.

By the way, i think it's pretty cool how that poster looks like a volume cover, only with real people Very Happy

I mean they could make so many different things with this manga/anime/movie in mind and they went and made this plan 2-color thing -.-

Anyway, i dont really trust US movies anymore... Did you guys see Prince of Persia`s movie? They ****ing screwed-it-up Mad

But in all seriousness like BL said, I'd be fine with it as long as they stayed away from the original storyline and true to the rules and such, then I'd like to see the movie just for the SFX they could provide with a good budget.

Not entirely sure about a Hollywood job. A more indie take on it might be good. It all depends though, they'd need the right people working on it either way.

Let me just say that the following is NSFW, and I know I'm borderline breaking forum rules here but as an admin I'm going to make an exception for myself since this is Gantz we're talking about after all. If any other admins feel this is too out of line though, feel free to pull me up and we'll talk it out.
Anyway, without any further ado, Natsuna in all her glory.

Whether it will be a "hea nudo" like in the manga though, we're yet to see.
Tae's actress Yuriko Yoshitaka has done nude before, so she could very well be undressing too. Although I guess that's not really the point of her character, as much as it is for Kishimoto.
